The young artist is due to perform at this year's Sea Sessions and Indiependence festivals.
Making it onto last year’s ‘Hot for 2022’ list, the alt-pop princess Fya Fox hasn’t taken a backseat releasing her first single of 2023 today.
Fox meditates on the breakdown of a relationship and her reluctance to let go in this new song. “And I’m not letting go/ And that may be reckless but damn/ I feel right, I feel right at home”, Fox sings with silky smooth vocals.
“It’s like I’m whispering in your ear”, Fya says, explaining that this vocal element and tone is not heard on previous releases. Whilst growing as a songwriter, the young artist has been focusing on protecting her worth as a creative individual, and has moved in a new direction with the release of ‘Ghost’.
With no shortage of upcoming gigs in sight, the Armagh singer has secured spots in some Irish major festivals this year, including Sea Sessions and Indiependence. These shows are a continuation of her hectic 2022, which saw her headline a sold-out Dublin show in November, selected to showcase on the BBC Introducing Stage at OutPut & Stendhal Festival and play her 1st UK festival, Live At Leeds in October 2022.
