It is part of an effort to appeal to Black voters.
Donald Trump has been seeking assistance from Fyre Fest founder and fellow convicted felon Billy McFarland for his presidential campaign, Rolling Stone reports.
Though he has no formal role in the campaign, McFarland has been part of Trump’s effort to appeal to Black voters, helping to connect the Republican hopeful with rappers on at least two occasions.
McFarland took credit for connecting Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow with Trump ahead of a rally in the Bronx. He also allegedly approached the team of Detroit rapper Icewear Vezzo ahead of Trump's rally there.

Vezzo previously told Rolling Stone that he’d pick Trump over Joe Biden if forced to choose between the two, though his preferred candidate is Robert F. Kennedy.
It comes after McFarland recently shared a picture of himself with the former US president on his Instagram page with the caption: “Pres’ birthday featuring your new cabinet.”
Trump has previously been backed by rappers including Kanye West and Lil Wayne.
Despite his efforts, a Pew Research survey published in May showed that 77% of Black voters prefer Biden, with 18% leaning toward Trump.
