Ireland's Biggest '90s Disco will mark the first big 3Arena show of Ireland's reopening; promising attendees will "party like it's 1999" on October 23.

The show will feature plenty of nostalgic acts behind club classics such as Gala, 2 Unlimted and Atomic Kitten.

"We at 3Arena are delighted that our first gig back is such a joyous party night with so many great artists and such great effects," said Cormac Rennick, General Manager at organisers Live Nation.

A press release accompanying the announcement promises "an immersive music experience featuring fancy dress, flash mobs, lots of confetti, fireworks and many more special effects and surprises", along with a strict '90s dress code.

Gala may provide one of the biggest floor fillers on the night, after the revival in popularity of her hit 'Freed From Desire' during Euro 2016 and the following years as a football chant. The Italian singer will also bring her multi-platinum singles 'Let a Boy Cry' and 'Come into My Life' when she comes to the stage.

Keeping with the sports theme, the appearance of 2 Unlimited's 'Get Ready for This' in Space Jam will ensure plenty of nostalgia for attendees when its iconic intro starts to play. Other well-known tracks, including 'No Limit' and 'Twilight Zone', certify that the Dutch dance-pop duo will be one of the most energetic acts on the night.

Other artists appearing include Alice Deejay, DJ ATB, Robin S, Vengaboys, and Whigfield.
