Considered a local institution, Electric, on 36 Abbeygate Street Upper, was shut down in 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"For thirty years, this place defied the odds, changed with the times and stayed alive despite the tremendous challenges of operating a nightclub in Ireland," said the club in a statement.
"We have sustained over six-hundred days of complete closure, lost revenue, unpaid bills, and reopening dates that never materialised.”
The new owners have reportedly been recruiting over the past few months, with roles and openings appearing on job website Indeed.
There had been rumours of the club’s return since the start of last summer, with a photo posted to social media last May showing the nightclub with the lights on.
