"Plan as if you were going to the airport".
As Marlay Park prepares for its 23rd year of hosting outdoor concerts, event organisers, Dublin County Council and members of the Garda Síochána had important information to share with concert goers this summer.
Superintendent Bróna O’Reilly of An Garda Síochána said that "Marlay Park is in a residential area and we would ask that the all concert goers respect the local community and not engage in anti social behaviour".
This included parking illegally or residential areas, the consumption of alcohol in public places and public intoxication.
She concluded saying that gig attendees were "here to enjoy themselves and we want to minimise the disruption to the local community and to get home safe. That's our key message".
