Celebrating almost four decades of music, Gary Numan is credited for innovating the music with his electronic sound. He has garnered respect all over the industry from David Bowie to Kanye West.
Although in his beginnings, there was efforts to shut him out from music business establishments, the Musicians Union tried to ban him, accusing him of putting real musicians out of work.
Nowadays, Numan is lauded for his pioneer work in songwriting.

In 2017, the singer was rewarded the Ivor Novello Inspiration award, which 'honours an exceptional songwriter who has inspired the creative talents of others’.
