The County Louth festival will run from June 19th-20th in Dundalk.
The Gathering Midsummer Festival has announced a stacked lineup of world famous composers and musicians.
Cuba's foremost composer Leo Brouwer will premiere his new work, 'Irish Landscape with Rain'. German violinist Carolin Widmann lends her virtuosity to a programme of new and recent solo pieces, including a new work by Gloria Coates. In addition to these two incredible acts, the Vox Clamantis choir of Estonia will sing music by Arvo Pärt, followed by Siobhan Cleary, Kevin Volans, and Helena Tulve.
The festival takes its name from a string quartet by Greek-Canadian composer Christos Hatzis, and is funded by the Arts Council and Create Louth, with support from the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation and RTE Supporting The Arts.
