Limerick, Cork, Tramore and Kilkenny are being visited this summer; this is how it's all going to work
Following on from the breakfastime news that he's playing Limerick's Greenpark on July 24, Gavin James has announced details of more Irish Live At The Drive-In dates. You'll also be able catch him in the Cork Show Grounds (July 31); Tramore Promenade (August 7); and Kilkenny Gorwan Racecourse (10). There will be two performances, matinee and evening, on each of those dates with tickets priced at €60 + booking fees and taxes per car of four going on sale at http://liveatthedrivein.ie/index.html on Friday May 29 at 9am.
Depending on the size of the site between 250 and 300 vehicles will be able to park up for each show.
The Drive-In tour is the idea of MPI Artists' Carl Owens who's been working in conjunction with Mark Dunne of 360 Management.
"Live At The Drive-In is planned for a six-week run from July 20, when we expect our Government will commence Phase III of its Covid-19 plans for re-opening Ireland and offers employment to industry live crew nationally such as; gear handlers, roadies, lighting designers, monitor engineers, production crew (the list is endless), some of our industry personnel who otherwise would be unemployed this summer," they reflect. "With sadly no official festival season in 2020, LIVE AT THE DRIVE-IN is not a substitute but an inspired and welcome unique and family friendly way to help reintroduce music to the Irish market. The safety of our staff and general public is paramount and in order for the Irish economy to reopen for business we must all respect the public health guidelines and respect social distancing."
Here's the additional information they've supplied.
