The project marks the artist's first release in over a decade
Irish singer-songwriter Gemma Hayes has announced her new album, Blind Faith, out October 27.
Blind Faith is the 6th album from the Tipperary native, with production from Hayes, Karl Odlum, David Odlum and Brian Casey.
Lisa Hannigan provides backing vocals and co-writes two songs, while Hayes is also joined by Paul Noonan for a duet on 'Another Love'. The first single, 'Hardwired', was shared in May.
The release comes ten years after Hayes’ last album, Bones + Longing. In a statement, Hayes revealed she had lost the motivation to create new music.
“I lost my confidence, and I found myself not having a connection to music in any way. I went from talking about music every day, living and breathing music, to… I could go a month without music," she said.

However, the arrival of Covid saw new songwriting opportunities, when the artist relocated to a house in West Cork.
“Songs began to murmur, distil and rise up in my mind. I would lock myself in the room, usually late at night when the world was asleep. I knew I needed to capture them before they left me.”
Debuting in 2002 with Night on my Side, Hayes has received widespread critical acclaim, including a nomination for the Mercury Prize.
Hayes has also announced a September tour to support the album, with shows in Kerry, Liverpool, Bristol, London, and Leeds, and more locations to be announced.
