Cinematic even by Mogwai’s standards, ‘Get To France’ could soundtrack the tale of a mime artist who falls in love with his shadow, only to discover that his darling one is incapable of returning his affections. A ridiculous comparison? Perhaps. But the piano-driven elegance of this track, taken from the Scottish post-rockers’ Earth Division EP seems to demand a mental image as emotive as its sound. Stunning stuff.
