Girl Band announce Cork gig in March
The Cork gig follows successful 2019 release, The Talkies.
Dublin four-piece Girl Band have announced a gig at Cyprus Avenue in Cork on Saturday, March 7.
The powerhouse alternative band are known for their ferocious live shows and recently released their second studio album, The Talkies, which was shortlisted for Album of the Year by RTE Choice Music Awards.
The Talkies is about a continual state of metamorphosis. It encompasses everything Girl Band are known for while simultaneously evoking an exciting sense of discomfort. The record combines moaning and sawing guitars, atonal blankets of sound, abstractive lyrical repetition, chugging snare and ascending/descending snakes and ladders noise-rock guitar to create a signature distinctive sound.
Tickets are €28 and go on sale 10am on Thursday January 16.
