Glass Animals grace us with their presence at the Hot Press Chat Room

The Hot Press Chatroom is back open for business and we started this lovely, rainy day with Glass Animals. Having just released their second album How to Be a Human Being Dave Bayley and Joe Seaward sat down with our very own Colm O'Regan to spill the beans on how the album came about. "We made up all these characters for the album and then we just started searching for the right sound. The music had to tell their story", explains Seaward. They're influenced by many bands, but they made a conscious effort not to listen to any music during the recording process, "I did watch loads of films and strange documentaries during that time. I think it gave me the courage to develop these characters in all their strangeness", tells Bayley.

What can we expect from their gig today? They might have hinted that Joey Bada$$ would make an appearance, but keep it under your hat. We'll see you in Rankin's Wood!
