The Spider, Arcadia's special stage, will now be powered by recycled energy transformed from waste cooking oil
One of Glastonbury Festival's iconic stages, Arcadia is known for its' peculiar spider-like construction and fire-spewing, spectacular performances.
Founded by Bert Cole and Pip Rush, the company behind the rig "draws on talent from across the arts, theatre and circus disciplines." They're not only determined to promote creative innovation, however, but reduce the carbon footprint left behind by the spider structure on its musical journey.
As a part of these efforts, it's just been revealed that the Arcadia stage has gotten some neat upgrades. And not a moment too soon, the news coming just a few weeks before Glastonbury Festival kicks off.
Shared online, the brilliant minds behind the eye-catching stage have shared that the spider is going green.
"The Spider's built on creative recycling and now she's got transformation running through her veins," Arcadia shared on Twitter.

In more recent news, it seems that the Foo Fighters might make an appearance. Included in the Glastonbury's lineup is a mysterious band named "The ChurnUps," which had fans speculating after the Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl made a discreet reference to the puzzling name in a handwritten note shared online.
"Every night, when I see you singing, it makes me sing harder. When I see you screaming, it makes me scream louder. When I see your tears, it brings me to tears. And when I see your joy, it brings me joy. But, I see you... and it feels good to see you, churning up these emotions together."
"See you soon."
