Glen Hansard has been announced as the special guest on Eddie Vedder's upcoming US tour – with the Irish singer-songwriter set to play the support slot in the Beacon Theatre, New York (February 3 & 4); NJPAC, Newark, NJ (6); Auditorium Theatre, Chicago, IL (9); The Magnolia, San Diego, CA (15); YouTube Theater, Los Angeles, CA (17) and Benaroya Hall, Seattle, WA (21 & 22).
In addition, Hansard will also play as part of Vedder's touring band, dubbed "the Earthlings" – alongside Red Hot Chili Peppers' drummer Chad Smith, ex-RHCP guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, guitarist Andrew Watt (winner of the 2021 Grammy Award for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical), and Jane's Addiction's bassist Chris Chaney.
The Earthlings Tour coincides with the release of Vedder's highly anticipated new album, Earthling, out on February 11. Produced by Andrew Watt, the album features the previously released tracks 'Long Way' and 'The Haves'.

Earlier this year, Vedder and Hansard collaborated on the soundtrack to Sean Penn's Flag Day.
