From actors and musicians to contemporaries and admirers, messages are flooding in from around the world for the Eagles icon.
Social media has been reacting to the death of Glenn Frey.
The guitarist passed away in New York on Monday 18, aged just 67.
"Words can neither describe our sorrow, nor our love and respect for all that he has given to us, his family, the music community and millions of fans worldwide," a joint family and band members statement said.
Frey co-founded Eagles in 1971 with Don Henley, Randy Meisner, and Bernie Leadon. Together they went on to dominate the seventies, scoring multiple hits, most notably, the 1976 rock anthem 'Hotel California', which Glenn co-wrote with his fellow bandmates.
Tributes have poured in from around the world for the trailblazing musician. Steve Martin, Huey Lewis, Ryan Adams, Niall Horan, Foo Fighters, The Grammys, Gene Simmons, Ringo Starr, Brian Wilson, Dixie Chicks, Keith Urban, Justin Timberlake, and Nikki Sixx have all tweeted their love and condolences for Glenn Frey. -
