The Gloaming have announced seven dates at the National Concert Hall for this March.
Ever since their formation, there’s always been a question of how long the unique alchemy of The Gloaming might be possible with their different backgrounds, interests and projects pulling the 5 members (Iarla O’Lionaird, Caoimhin O’Raghallaigh, Martin Hayes, Dennis Cahill & Thomas Bartlett) in various directions.
Since their formation in 2011, The Gloaming have sold out an unprecedented 24 consecutive concerts at Ireland’s National Concert Hall, celebrated a Number 1 album in the Irish Charts, won a BBC Radio 2 Folk Award, won a Meteor Choice Music Prize Album Of The Year, performed to packed houses in the world’s most prestigious venues and topped multiple ‘performance of the year’ polls and press columns, including The Irish Times and Hot Press. Earlier this year, The Gloaming released a critically acclaimed live album Live at the NCH - which captured the spirit of their performances at the National Concert Hall in Dublin. They also began work on their 3rd studio LP which has an anticipated release date of Spring 2019. This not-to-be-missed run of performances will no doubt showcase this new material.
The band have just announced a run of exclusive residency shows at The National Concert Hall Dublin this March. These shows will take place on 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th & 11th March. Tickets go on sale Friday 19 October at 10am from the National Concert Hall.
