Zimbabwean Irish rapper God Knows has released the music video for his latest single 'The Art Of Alienation'.
Speaking about the video, he shared: "Stephen Hall of Hallway Media is my favourite director who also happens to be one of my close mates over the years. A real Narolane frequent collaborator.
"I love working with him because all we need is a great idea and we are off. The overarching theme of this video is an Alien sighting in Shannon Co. Clare with noughties MTV aesthetics.”
The track is released via Narolane Records, the label God Knows co-founded in 2019 with Denise Chaila and MuRli in Limerick.
Inspired by Outkast’s 'Da Art of Storytelling' series, 'The Art Of Alienation' marks his first release of 2025, following the rapper's previous EP We Move The Needle. The song explores identity and belonging, delving into the concept of "alienation," particularly as he reflects on his experience as a first-generation immigrant in Shannon, a town uniquely shaped by Ireland's history.

In a 2022 interview with Hot Press following the release of his single ‘Twelve 61’, God Knows talked about his family and upbringing, including his maternal Uncle Dick Chinx Chingaira, a hero of the Zimbabwean revolution.
As a member of the trio Rusangano Family, he won the Choice Music Prize for 2016’s Let The Dead Bury The Dead', becoming the first ever hip-hop record to win the ‘Album of the Year’ award.
