Taken from soundtrack of Step Up Revolution, the latest installment in a not-so-star-studded series of booty-shaking dance movies, ‘Goin In’’ is something of an enigma. Kicking off with some relatively low-key electronic effects (that, by the way, wouldn’t be out of place on a Fisher Price keyboard), it eventually builds to a throbbing monster of a chorus, which amounts to nothing more than a whole lot of white noise. And then there’s the lyrics. Ms. Lopez sounds divinely breathy as usual, but all the sultry hums and hoots in the world can’t save her from lines like, ‘Tonight we go Orang Utang... bananas!'
