Good Bye
Macaboy is none other than the new musical moniker of former Mesner frontman Brendan McEvoy, and it seems he has mellowed somewhat since his days fronting the midlands rock quartet. What is still apparent, though, is the undoubted quality of McEvoy’s deep baritone, which sounds richly emotive on this tale of love lost forever. Here, his voice is backed up by gently lolling guitars and strings rather than power chords and sweat, but impressive nonetheless.
