Good Morning To The Light
Elton John has made no secret of his love for Australian electronic duo Pnau, telling everyone who’ll listen that their eponymous 2007 album was the greatest record he’s heard in ten years, and even doling out copies to his mates. The first collaboration between the two is chock full of the kind of fizzing synths and simmering dance wallops that characterised that album, with the added bonus of John’s instantly recognisable basement croon. Individually, all of these are good things, but without a solid hook to hold them together, ‘Good Morning To The Light’ falls just that little bit flat.
