Let me get one thing out of the way. RD is a dreadful name for a girl band. In fact, it’s a terrible name for anything; a stationary company, a hardware store, a comic book. No-one will ever be able to remember it, and even Larry Page himself couldn’t google it, let alone a group of teenage girls on a sleepover. It’s a real pity, too, because the terrifically slick ‘Got Me Burnin’’, which falls somewhere between classic stateside R&B and pre-Amelle Sugababes, is a truly killer track. Flimsy Lohan, now, that’s a great name for a girl band.
