Lena Fiagbe: "Gotta Get It Right" (Mother)
Lena Fiagbe is Mother's first overseas discovery, and like their other top priority act, Bjork, is something of a hippy, which explains the not-so-incisive social commentary which pollutes 'Gotta Get It Right'.
"Love and understanding is all we need to put it right," she Kravitzianly emotes, while the rest of the world implores her to sod off and join the Natural Law Party. And then promptly forgives her when her good vibes are put to good use. She does her acoustic troubadour bit through 'Warm Love', caressing it like Van has forgotten how to, so that by the time she purrs, "Sit by the fire and dry off our wet clothes/It's raining outside from the skies above? Inside it's Warm Love," I am powerless to resist as my knees are all a-quiver and I can't make it upstairs for a nice long cold shower.
