The Dublin band were nominated for Best Rock Album for their sophomore record 'A Hero's Death'.
The Grammy Awards took place virtually last night, with the music industry's stars Zooming in to the socially-distanced ceremony.
There were both live and pre-recorded performances at the ceremony, including one from Record and Song Of The Year nominee Dua Lipa. The Song Of The Year award went to H.E.R. for 'I Can't Breathe', which was written in the wake of the Black Lives Matter protests over the killing of George Floyd.
It was a year for women, who dominated wins in the big categories. Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion performed their smash hit 'WAP', and Beyoncé won four awards, two of which were won in tandem with Megan Thee Stallion. This brought the pop giant's record up to 28 total wins, which puts her ahead of bluegrass legend Alison Krauss, who previously held the record.
“It has been such a difficult time,” said Beyoncé of the reckoning the United States has been facing with regard to racial equality. “I wanted to uplift, encourage, celebrate all the beautiful black queens and kings that continue to inspire me and inspire the whole world."
Billie Eilish scooped up two awards this year, one for Best song written for visual media (for her James Bond theme 'No Time To Die'), and one for Record of the Year (for 'Everything I Wanted').

The biggest award of the night, Album Of The Year, went to Taylor Swift for folklore, which makes her the only woman to ever win the award three times.
Gillian Welch and David Rawlings took home the Best Folk Album award for All The Good Times, while Thundercat picked up the award for Best Progressive R&B Album (It Is What It Is), and Fiona Apple's Fetch The Bolt Cutters was awarded Best Alternative Music Album.
Dubliners Fontaines D.C. were hopefuls for the Best Rock Album category this year, for their sophomore album A Hero's Death, but ultimately lost out to The Strokes' A New Abnormal.
Phoebe Bridgers, who was nominated for four awards including Best New Artist, Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song, and Best Alternative Album, sadly didn't win in any of the above categories. She took her losses with characteristic tongue-in-cheek humour, posting photos of herself on Instagram posing with empty hands, over the caption: "me holding my Grammys".
