American singer-songwriter Grant Lee Phillips has announced a headline show at Whelan’s, Dublin, on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.
The performance comes in support of his upcoming 12th solo album, In the Hour of Dust, set for release in September 2025.
Speaking about the self-produced record, Phillips shared: “The mood on this album is contemplative, trying to find meaning in an age of confusion, feeling your way through the blinding dust of unreality.”
Phillips first rose to prominence as frontman of alt-rock trio Grant Lee Buffalo, known for their 1993 debut album and its acclaimed title track, 'Fuzzy'. Since launching his solo career with Ladies' Love Oracle in 2000, he has focused on a sound rooted in folk and Americana.

The upcoming tour will include dates across the U.S., UK, and Europe. The setlist will feature songs from In the Hour of Dust alongside favourites from across his decades-spanning catalogue.
Phillips said: “I don't see songs of love and songs of protest as being so far apart, really. It’s all about recognizing the value of connection in a disconnected time.”
Tickets for the show at Whelan's are €30.00, and go on sale Friday, March 28 at 10 a.m. here.
