Irish Singer-songwriter Greg Clifford has just written a new track entitled It's Too Late, which is well worth checking out on Spotify or Soundcloud (see below).
"The song itself was first written in Berlin when I resided there back in 2014," Greg tells Hot Press.
However, I shelved it until the right sound and instrumentation presented itself. The song amalgamates synth pop with my indie rock tendencies."
He adds, "Subject matter wise, it revolves around writing late into the night and losing oneself. The night is generally more exciting and leads one to a point where inhibitions dissipate. However, it's easy for self deprecation to reemerge in the cold light of day; one questions the merits of the last creation. The song is me trying to maintain belief in what I do as an artist.
It's a song that we here in Hot Press are suitably impressed with:
The Dublin-based independent musician described his style of music as being :authentic synthesis of Indie-pop rock fused with electronic aspects and 'classical' guitar fingerpicking". 2017 saw Clifford release a new LP entitled 'Quodlibet', as well as play 17 gigs across Ireland as part of a 3-act showcase called the 'Back to Basics Tour'.
