One of Nashville’s most revered musicians Gretchen Peters will return to Ireland for three shows in Dublin, Belfast and Sligo, in support of her new album Dancing with Beasts.
New York born but based in the Nashville since the 80’s, Gretchen Peters has enjoyed a career spanning three decades and along the way she has received many accolades including being inducted into the ‘Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame’ by Rodney Crowell in 2014. She has been nominated twice for ‘Best Country Song’ in the Grammy Awards. In 2015 ‘The Telegraph’ named her one of the greatest 60 female singer-songwriters of all time. Her album of 2015 ‘Blackbirds’ received rave reviews in Rolling Stone & Q magazines and others. It debuted at No 1on the UK Country chart and in the Top 40 UK pop chart and was awarded ‘International Album of the Year’ and ‘Song of the Year’. Peters has written and performed with a diverse range of artists - Etta James, Bonnie Raitt, The Neville Brothers, Patty Loveless, George Strait, Bryan Adams & Faith Hill.
Accompanied by Barry Walsh (piano), Conor McCreanor (bass) and Colm McClean (guitars), Gretchen will play on Friday 7th Sept in Dublin’s Liberty Hall, followed by Saturday 8th in Hawks Well Sligo and finally Sunday 9th September in Belfast’s Lyric Theatre. Tickets on sale now.
