The Rankin Family with Liam O Maonlai: Grey Dusk of Eve (EMI)

Don’t know much about Liam’s Canadian companions but this sounds like a Cape Breton try at emulating Bono’s duet with Clannad. Quite tasty too. The Rankins’ vocal harmonies don’t quite have the misty, eternal sense of Clannad but O Maonlai blends well as he cruises out beneath the keyboard cloud-cover.
