Grimes shares new video for 'Player of Games'

Alt-pop singer Grimes has dropped a new video for her recent single 'Player of Games'.

Directed by Anton Tammi, the piece features Grimes sword fighting and playing chess with a character dubbed the Dark King (played by Andreï Pishchalnikov).

'Player of Games' was the first new music from the 'Oblivion' singer since her high profile split from the tech CEO and father of her child, Elon Musk.

Fans have speculated that the track may be about her former relationship with Musk, as the song contains the lyrics: "I'm in love with the greatest gamer. But he'll always love the game more than he loves me," and "Sail away to the cold expanse of space, even love couldn't keep you in your place."

Musk confirmed their split in September this year, saying, "We are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently, and are on great terms."

Grimes' newest single also features on the soundtrack for the latest season of the video game Rocket League.
