The two artists will perform this November 18 with tickets from €28.
Welsh musicians Gruff Rhys and Bill Ryder Jones are set to perform a double headline show this November 18 at Vicar Street. It will be the biggest Irish show that either artist has played thus far.
Composer, producer, filmmaker, and author Gruff Rhys garnered widespread acclaim with his latest album Sadness Sets You Free earlier this year. Shortly after, Ryder Jones launched Iechyd da, which was similarly well received by critics.
In light of their respective success, the two will tour together in 6 different cities across Ireland and the UK. Rhys and Ryder Jones will alternate who plays fist/last each night, with both artists playing full-length sets with their bands.
It's not the first time the pair have teamed up, having previously performed together in the Albert Hall in Manchester back in 2021.
Ryder Jones took to twitter today to announce the tour dates, saying "[Gruff Rhys] and I have both been having a pretty special year so thought it'd be nice to round it off with a tour together, with full bands, playing headline length sets."

BAFTA-winning Rhys, lead singer of indie outfit Super Furry Animals, is also renowned for his solo discography, releasing his debut LP in 2005 with Yr Atal Genhedlaeth, which consisted entirely of Welsh lyrics. He has since gone on to release several solo albums, the latest being Sadness Sets You Free, which dropped in January earlier this year.
Ryder Jones was the lead guitarist for 'The Coral', who achieved several UK number-one albums, a Mercury Prize nomination and has toured with Blur and Oasis. He left the band in 2008 and has since released solo 5 albums with Domino Records.
Tickets start from €28 and go on sale this Friday at 10 am; they are available here.
