Black Eyed Peas, Kasabian, David Holmes and The Undertones are among those saying "happy birthday" to Arthur in September.
Guinness are to celebrate their 250th birthday with a worldwide series of Arthur’s Day events on September 24.
There’s a strong musical element to the festivities, with Black Eyed Peas, D’Anj, Reverend & The Makers, Mongrel, Noah & The Whale, Mystery Jets, Johnny Flynn, Estelle, Kasabian, The Wombats, The Enemy, Soul II Soul and our very own David Holmes and The Undertones participating in a series of gigs that will kick off at 5.59pm – the exact moment that Arthur Guinness brewed his first pint.
Confirmed venues so far include New York, Lagos, Yaounde, Kuala Lumpur and Dublin where Hop Store 13 is being transformed into a 2,000-capacity live music studio for the day.
There will be additional gigs in The Academy, Whelan’s, Tripod, Vicar St. and 28 of the capital’s most stout-minded pubs.
Who’s playing where will be announced shortly on hotpress.com.
