Just announced as support for Slowdive on their sold out Belfast and Dublin shows this November - plus ahead of their own upcoming headline shows in Dublin, Nantes, The Hague, Pitchfork Music Festival, London and Paris with more TBA - Gurriers have released their unforgiving punk track 'Nausea'.
Emphasising the five piece's gritty and uncomprimising sound, the piece utilises an alarming backing to push their dirty punk sound to the forefront.
Gurriers raging combination of punk, noise, alt-rock and shoegaze along with singer Dan Hoff’s intense socio-political lyricism has been championed across the music scene, shooting the five-piece up the Dublin ranks.
'Nausea' follows the group's two recently released singles 'Approachable' and 'Sign Of The Times', also giving fans more of what they clearly want after recent performances in front of stacked European crowds at Electric Picnic, Latitude, Pukkelpop, Haldern Pop, Off and Loose Ends, and an explosive live session for 3voor12 Radio on 3FM in Netherlands.
Speaking of the single, vocalist Dan Hoff says: “'Nausea' is a ruminating thought on the evolution of modern jobs such as content moderation created as a result of social media and the internet. It examines the impact these kind of jobs can have on those in that line of work and the potential harm it causes to their mental health.”
