"It's an incredible musical that I think has almost redefined what a musical can be," said the theatre's general manager, Stephen Faloon on RTÉ's Radio 1's Morning Ireland.
Faloon is "delighted" to facilitate the Tony Award winning musical's Irish premiere. "It's got the best of different music genres like jazz, R&B, hip-hop music and of course brilliant musical theatre," he remarked.

Hamilton– based on 2004's Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow– was a smash hit upon it's off-Broadway debut in 2015, exploring the American revolutionary period through the eyes of founding father Alexander Hamilton.
The rap-musical was nominated for a record-breaking sixteen Tony Awards in 2016, and won 11, also claiming the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the 2016 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album.
Dublin's Hamilton will feature a new company, which is currently being assembled, and the cast will be announced shortly.
Tickets will go on sale on Friday April 28th at 9am. Prices are yet to be finalised.
