Billie Eilish's sophomore album 'Happier Than Ever' was released on Friday.
Billie Eilish‘s new album Happier Than Ever is currently outselling the rest of the UK’s top 10 albums combined in physical units and is set to become number one in the UK charts this week.
Eilish's second studio album was released on Friday as the follow-up to her 2019 debut When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, which broke records allowing Eilish to become the youngest female artist to have an album reach number one in the UK chart.
The singer took to Instagram to talk about her album's release at the weekend. In a lengthy caption, the artist thanked everyone involved in the process of making the album and described her feelings about it now being publically available.
"This was the most fulfilling most satisfying and profound experience I’ve ever had with my music. Finneas and I were just on cloud 9 making this album," she wrote.

Eilish's older brother Finneas was her only collaborator on the record. The singer had spoken out about feeling not in control of her work during the making of her 2019 debut. While the lyrics on her new record grapple with fame, Eilish has expressed wider feelings of contentment in her creative process.
"I grew so much in the process of making this album and experienced so much self-realization and self-reflection. I wish I could go back and make this album all over again because it was some of the best nights in my life," she said.
As well as looking to achieve the album chart top spot this week, three individual songs from Happier Than Ever (the title track, 'Getting Older' and 'Oxytocin') are also on course for Top 40 debuts on this week’s official singles chart.
