The band celebrated the release of their fourth LP at the Camden Electric Ballroom.
Fontaines D.C. celebrated the release of their fourth studio album Romance with a surprise London gig, which saw the likes of Harry Styles, Cillian Murphy and Florence Welch in attendance.
The band played to a sold out crowd of 1500 at the Camden Electric Ballroom, where fans spotted a number of famous heads.
Fontaines D.C.’s new record Romance, which came out today, was selected as Hot Press’s Album of the Month and rated a 9/10, writing that “this is an album that befits another city, perhaps a dreamlike Tokyo,” adding that “only seven years on from the release of their debut single ‘Liberty Belle’, it’s been quite the ride.”

“We’ve always had this sense of idealism and romance,” said bassist Conor Deegan when the record was first announced.
“Each album gets further away from observing that through the lens of Ireland, as directly as Dogrel. The second album is about that detachment, and the third is about Irishness dislocated in the diaspora. Now we look to where and what else there is to be romantic about.”
The band, along with Irish-language hip-hop icons KNEECAP, were also among the first nominations to be announced for the 2024 AIM Independent Music Awards.
The rock outfit will also play two shows at Dublin's 3Arena on 6 and 7 December as part of their 2024 European tour, For more information, click here.
