'Do you know who you are?'
Today, fans of Harry Styles woke up to a new song by the ex One Direction singer, accompanied by a steamy music video. 'Lights Up' serves as the first single off his upcoming second album and takes him into a different direction than his previous releases.
The mid-tempo song definitely has a pop sound to it, while unusual melody progressions give it the necessary edge.
Shot in Mexico, the video sees Styles shirtless, getting touched by males and females, driving on a moped and getting soaked in water. So yes, it's pretty steamy. Watch it below:

Although the song seemingly dropped out of nowhere, the singer gave the fans a little hint for what's to come yesterday, when he broke his social media silence to launch the new website doyouknowwhoyouare.com. On the site, you can enter your name to get a random compliment, signed with "TPWK. Love, H."
'Lights Up' suggests a different musical direction than his self-titled debut album which was very much inspired by rock legends like The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and Fleetwood Mac. On the follow-up, he further discovers his own sound and according to Stevie Nicks who, over the years, became friends with the ex boy band star, he's definitely on the right path.
"It's not like anything One Direction ever did", she says about his new album, which doesn't have a release date yet. "It's pure Harry, as Harry would say. He's made a very different record and it's spectacular." We can't wait.
