The EP is set to feature Jess Kav, Participant, Arvo Party, and Maria Kelly.
On October 30th, Irish trio HAVVK will release a collaborative EP featuring some of their Irish friends. A response to the pandemic that began as an effort to connect while the group re-located to Berlin, the five-track release sees its featured guests re-interpreting HAVVK songs.
"We had so many plans to go to gigs, to meet people, to collaborate,” says HAVVK frontwoman Julie Hawk, who is originally from Galway. “We even rented a space big enough for us to be able to use it as a collaborative space for running sessions and intimate gigs. As a band, we’d been based outside of Ireland for years but we’d always felt a massive connection to the music scene here. So, one of the first things we wanted to do when we moved to Dublin was to finally collaborate with some of the artists who were now our neighbours.
"It was already really special to us to have other artists interpret our music," Julie continues. "But it definitely takes on a whole new meaning to have collaborated during a time when the music community is under so much strain.”

'Always The Same', which received special treatment from Jess Kav, was released as a single in July and all sale proceeds raise funds for Movement of Asylum Seekers Ireland (MASI).
