Paramore have been forced to cut their North American tour short due to singer Hayley Williams’ ongoing lung infection.

Shows in Portland Salt Lake City had been postponed until this week while to give Williams more time to recover but now they have been cancelled completely.

“My lungs are just not healing quickly enough to keep up,” she wrote on her Instagram story following the bands performance in Seattle. “It got a little scary tonight. I know some of you are camping in Portland already so I just wanted to get this out there. I’m so sorry for all the chaos this has caused some of you. I really tried to kick this.”

In an official statement posted to the band’s social media, Williams added that “I have been doing everything I can to fight this infection so we wouldn’t have to disappoint anyone with any more news of postponements and cancellations. I’m now risking long term damage and I need to pay attention to my body. I physically can not go on.” Read the full statement below.
