The 'Count Me Out' music video dropped on Friday, 16th December and is available to stream via YouTube.
The latest visual for Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, ‘Count Me Out’, sees Helen Mirren feature as the rapper’s therapist.
The video, featuring a broody black and white aesthetic, begins with an extended dialogue between Mirren and the rapper before the track kicks in. The reimagining of his issues that he addresses with Mirren plays out on screen as Lamar narrates, and his therapist bears witness.
Sandwiched between the black and white border of Mirren and Lamar, the video's stunning imagery plays out in a series of poignant and stark contrasting frames.
Co-directed by Lamar and Dave Free, the new release is the latest following 'The Heart Part 5,’ ‘N95,’ ‘We Cry Together,’ and ‘Rich Spirit’ music videos.
‘The Heart Part 5’ has recently earned King Kenny a Grammy nomination for Best Music Video.
