'Helplessness Blues' kicks off in much the same way as 2008's 'White Winter Hymnal', and, truth be told, nothing on Fleet Foxes' second album strays too far from the intricate folk blueprint they perfected with their eponymous debut. Yes siree, this shimmering, sprawling baroque pop number mirrors the glory of past releases perfectly. No more, no less.
