Hermitage Green will be performing three live shows across Ireland this summer.
Folk rock band, Hermitage Green has announced their new single ‘Driftin’ which will be released on Friday, May 3.
The group is composed of Barry Murphy, Dan Murphy, Darragh Griffin, Darragh Graham and Dermot Sheedy, who formed the band after a jam session in 2010.
When talking about the new single Murphy says, “Driftin is a song about a paradigm shift in perspective when someone experiences a life changing event or moment. Whether it’s when you lose a loved one, become a parent for the first time or make life changing choices we are all simultaneously completely alone and completely connected drifting through space on a giant rock so best we look after one another.”
Throughout their career, the band has performed with the likes of Gavin James, Josh Ritter, Walking On Cars and The Pogues.
In an interview with Hot Press' Joseph Cunningham, Hermitage Green said that "We've released a couple of records and we've written a lot of songs, but we've always enjoyed keeping the creative process moving...its always got to be different, and that's the only way we keep ourselves entertained — reaching for something we haven't done yet."
