Reworked, slowed-down, dance-friendly remix of Cyndi’s 1984 smash. Every bit as much of a loony as ol’ Rollins, Cyndi’s joyous voice warbles “I wanna be the one to walk in the sun!” over five more-or-less similar dance mixes. Simple-minded and insubstantial, for sure, but wonderfully trashy fun. Cyndi is the psychic successor to such cool ’60s girl groups as the Ronettes; I long for the day when she covers “Be My Baybeeeee!”
