Good news fans of quality tune-age – a cracking new release from inform Belfast producer Phil Kieran is upon us
Belfast producer Phil Kieran is about to drop his next release, ’Snakes Crawl’. The track, released as a bootleg in ’07, has been given another lease of life after Cynthia Sley got her hands, I mean, vocals on it. Satisfying all your indie, dance, techno, post–punk and dark electro cravings, the single comes with remixes from DJ Hell and Dave Clarke, aka Unsubscribe. Winning praise from Tiga, Psycatron, Jamie Jones and M.A.N.D.Y, look for ‘Snakes Crawl’ on Phil Kieran Recordings July 20. Phil plays Derry’s Celtronic Festival June 28 at Sandinos Bar. Don’t miss it! Peep the video here: tiny.cc/qbdwfw.

The EP is out July 13 on the Delphi label. The launch is July 14 at the Button Factory, Dublin. As a celebration, the glow–stick–wielding, dead–president–mask–wearing–foursome, have decided to give away their last album, Laserdisc Nights II, as a free download. Nice! Get it here: legalaxie.net.
In Derry, recently back from their tour with Orbital, are our friends The Japanese Popstars They’ve got two new tracks lined up, one of which you get to hear as a teaser! ‘Day Of Rest’ features the sublime vocals of Stephanie Dosen, who has worked closely with The Chemical Brothers and Massive Attack. The track is a departure from the heavier Popstars sound. It’s great all the same. Meanwhile Green Velvet has teamed up with the lads again, providing vocals on ‘Matter Of Time’. Both cuts will be part of their upcoming album! See: tiny.cc/9kdwfw.
