Staff received assurances over the weekend that they will be paid.
Sit-ins at two HMV stores in Limerick looked set to rumble on until Tuesday at the very least before the weekend began, as staff held firm and their colleagues in Cork and Tallaght joined in with the protests, but it would now seem that there has been a resolution.
Staff at the Crescent Shopping Centre and Cruise Street branches have been told that they will get paid this week and have ended their sit-ins.
The agreement would appear to apply to all Irish branches.
The welcome news came along with reports from Deloitte, who have been tasked with overseeing receivership in Ireland, that there have been over 50 expressions of interest in buying HMV. This includes interest from video game retailer Game.

There are also stories doing the rounds in the UK that the 'Big Three' record labels – Universal, Warner and Sony – will move to keep HMV afloat, in order to avoid only having supermarkets and online stores as big alternatives in retail.
