The new edition of Hot Press Y&E Series kicked off in dazzling fashion earlier this month with a brilliant performance from Aaron J. Now, we're thrilled to present the hugely anticipated act Holly Munro – who takes to the Hot Press Instagram 'staage' tonight..
Presented in conjunction with the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, by it's close the new series will have featured an impressive total of 40 exclusive, intimate sets. You can watch Holly Munro performance tonight, October 31st, at 7pm, streamed live on the Hot Press Instagram.
Munro's latest single, 'Open Ended', was released earlier this month and adds to a discography that is laden with songs that deal with themes of self-discovery, resilience and embracing who you are. Tonight's live performance will be a taster for Munro's upcoming debut EP 'Up Against You Nature', out November 3rd. Munro describes the EP as "a celebration of the journey and sense of relief that comes with choosing your own path towards self-compassion and love".

Wednesday the 1st: Polly Barrett
Next up in the Hot Press Young & Emerging Artists series, we'll have an intimate performance with Polly Barrett. Polly began her music career 15 years ago while training to be an actor in London. Polly returned to Ireland and the the Irish music scene in 2007. She subsequently released two albums Mr Bookshop in 2011 and Probably Me in 2014. Her new single 'Thinking About You' is a powerful return to action, reasserting her position as the darling of folk pop. The track was chosen by Discover Ireland to feature in the campaign for West Cork tourism in 2023 – potentially a significant boost for any songwriter and performer.
Here's looking forward to two outstanding female performers over the coming two nights on the Hot Press Y&E Series: Holly Munro (31 October) and Polly Barret (1 November).
