Dublin-based mellow(ish) rockers, Someday, returned to Galway to launch their new single in the GPO with support from Galwegian rockers Pier Nineteen. The Dublin songwriter known as Singleton played a gig at Viva last week. Not sure if it’s due to become a regular fixture as a venue but will keep you posted. The truly ace Ballroom of Romance rises again tonight (March 13) with Adrian Crowley, El Diablo, Michael Knight and Slow River School.
Touch & Go Artists Enon play the Pine Lodge in Myrtleville in addition to the Paddy Goes Wonky palaver. Japanese girl rockers Mika Bomb play some dates with the Warlords of Pez at the end of the month in Limerick and Cork as well as a bash in the Spirit Store, Dundalk with Indigo Fury. On the subject of Japanese rock, Boris will play with The Dudley Corporation and Like A Kind Of Matador around the end of this month. All we need now is more Acid Mothers Temple dates! Since miracles do happen, The Acid Mothers Temple Soul Collective will feature live sets from Tsurubami, The Pardons and Kawabata Makoto at the Half Moon in Cork in May. And just to make sure everybody has had enough sweet, sweet noise, the current incarnation of Cuckoo – Jetplane Landing – arrive in the same venue the very next night.
