More fab new Volta and Road Relish releases, additional servings of The Jimmy Cake, Nick Drake getting a Tongue-lashing and Adrian Crowley blowing horns and screaming louder
An EP entitled Blow Horn Or Scream Louder, allegedly monikered after a sign in Coney Island and nothing whatsoever to do with Geri Halliwell, has just been released on a new independent label called Bed of Rockets. The four track 10” comes with a free CD and features Adrian Crowley, Detour, Sleep Laboratory and Hulk. Crowley’s first full length album When You Are Here You Are Family will be released in late September.
Galway duo Tongue release the Feel The Bite EP this fortnight featuring the excellent ‘Claudia’s Lament’ that was included on the See The Light compilation of Galway-based musicians. Also on offer is a stirring rendition of ‘Fruit Tree’ by Nick Drake, ‘Drifting’ and ‘Can You See Me Through This’ recorded live at an in-studio session for Jon Richards’ show on Galway Bay FM.
