It's the Orchid Collective member's solo debut.
Irish singer-songwriter Honas has just released the music video for his debut single 'Wicker Blanket'.
Tinged with atmospheric electronic sounds, 'Wicker Blanket' is an introspective track about comfort and truth. Honas is looking back and singing about his own life, but the almost nostalgic sounding atmosphere inspired the listener to sit back and do the same. Crisp production and a clever use of autotune rival the better part of The 1975's discography with massive, fuzzy bass closing out the track on a warm note.
The video dives into the feeling of nostalgia and warmth, representing a bygone era. Honas discovered the footage belonging to his dad about six months ago and was enamoured with it. Videos of family and friends shrouded in soft, warm colours produce a loose narrative about love and life.
"The romantic part of me sees a simpler time, of total togetherness and human connection. The cynical part of me argues that it's just a highlight reel, a 1980s Instagram story, but even if that's the truth, it's an amazing Instagram story," he writes on Facebook.

Though it's Honas' first solo release, he's no stranger to the music industry. He's produced for Zaphos and Seba Safe and is also a key member of the Dublin-based indie band Orchid Collective.
