Raised in New York by Sikh parents, Raveena Aurora grew up on Bollywood soundtracks and Nina Simone.
She started writing songs aged 13 and released debut single, ‘Shanti’, shortly after graduating from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.

It was certainly singular – clocking in at 15 minutes and bringing together piano, synthesisers and harps.
