If it’s shimmering shoegaze you’re after, look no further than The Artist Also Known As Faith Nico, who just happens to be Doctor Millar’s daughter. Following the release of her debut single, ‘my forever’, in 2021, she even more major milestones in 2022 – releasing her powerful debut EP, girls my age, and playing a sold-out show Upstairs at Whelan’s, as well as sets on the Music Trail for Other Voices in Dingle. There’s also an ancient pulse running through Cruel Sister’s approach – taking her name from a 17th century traditional murder ballad.
