Forget Rod Stewart, Joss Stone, Paul Jones, Raye, Sugababes and those Mary Wallopers bowsies, the undisputed star of Jools Holland’s Hootenanny 2023 was this folk blues guitar picker from Donegal. Displaying a virtuosity way beyond her 17 years, Muireann’s British TV debut came just weeks after the release of her equally gobsmacking I Kept Those Old Blues album.
